So it looks like we just picked up another House seat in Texas. With almost 70% of the vote in, it appears Texas Dems have taken out DeLay stooge Henry Bonilla. That makes it 31 seats gained this cycle if you count Bernie Sander's seat, or 30 if you don't.
So I am not one to brag, or beat up again on sparring partner Brad "Whitey Mcwhite" Blakeman from MSNBC, but let's see whose predictions were closer on this episode of "How did you ever become a pundit?"
PS Let's see if my prediction about the number of Republicans going to jail over the next year is also true...

Did anyone see the interview of Nancy Pelosi with Barbara Walters? It was very strange because it seemed that there was a lot of stuff that Nancy said that was edited out. You could tell by the way each one of her (Nancy's) answers were abruptly ended. It sounded like she was talking in sound bytes and that's not usually the way Nancy talks.

I think the thing with Ciro is that he is more conservative, but he does vote with the D's, so he helps us solidify our majority. Every vote in our pocket helps.

I think you guys are thinking of the Dem Ciro took on in the beginning of this cycle in a different district Henry Cuellar.
He is basically the House's Lieberman (if Harman isn't)...Actually, if my info is correct, Ciro is VERY progressive. So this is big, because Bonilla was a monied whore.
And BTW Fernando, don't worry about being repetetive. We call that "staying on message" :).
Now everyone off to Paddy and Fernando's blogs!
