Seems like Moore's biggest qualm is the fact that Gupta said he fudged the facts. They both have studies to back up the various numbers they provided (which weren't that different). Otherwise, Gupta is right that the health care in other countries isn't free, but Moore is also correct that we may make up the difference with higher costs here. Either way, the movie is interesting and everybody should see it just to start a discussion.
Moore fails to tell his audience two provinces ( Alberta and British Columbia) actually have premiums charged by the provincial governments. This is a matter that the Canadian federal government under the Liberal Party was contentious. Under the new Conservative rule, it has disappeared of the radar. Moore's film has some minor innaccuracies, and Gupta's piece did as well. But in the end, doesn't every American want to have access to health care? No matter what, I can see a doctor, cash or no cash. I don't care if I pay taxes at a higher rate. My mother's cancer treatments were covered for the entire decade she was sick. This is bad how?
