BAGHDAD - An al Qaida-led group said on Sunday it was holding "crusader" soldiers after a clash with a patrol in Iraq on Saturday.

The Islamic State in Iraq has posted the claim on an Islamic Web site, but has offered no proof.

Thousands of U.S. troops backed by helicopters have been searching for three American soldiers who went missing in an al-Qaida stronghold near Baghdad after an ambush that killed four other U.S. soldiers and an Iraqi army interpreter.

God, please let us stop this war.

I was reading about this earlier this morning. They said this happened in the same area where two other soldiers had been kidnapped. They found them, bound and having been tortured. My stomach just turned. I can't imagine what their families are going through right now.

I hate this war...hate Bush/Cheney. Not a good feeling to have right before I'm leaving for Sunday Mass. :-(
