How Dare The Bastard?!?
Much like Atrios said, I'll be looking forward to watching Fred Hiatt--some editor from some crappy-gone-neocon Washington newspaper (have I reminded you lately how glad I am I cancelled my subscription?)--condemn Congressman Issa with equal fury as he did Congresswoman Pelosi, for having the temerity to take a stab at doing better than The Pet Goat.

Alternate reality bossman.
Same one Darth Cheney lives in.
If they are going to attack Nancy Pelosi, then I am done with Washington Post! I won't be reading any of their articles!
Hi Paddy and Cliff! ;)
I'm pretty much done with expecting anything from the press in the way of reality checks, objective reporting, follow-ups, blah blah blah.
There hasn't been "real news" for so long now. It's one big ol' tabloid after another, double standard after double standard, all the usual b.s.
What surprises me is that they still do all of this in the face of poll numbers that should inspire them to tell the whole story, not just the one BushCo wants them to print.
The New York Sun calls for Cheney to run for President and the Post defending the war criminals, there is no real journalism.

I always took for granted that the WaPo editorial page was the best in the business. Then Meg Greenfield died. Woe unto us. I just wanno know: Who hired Fred Hiatt and why did they think he was a suitable replacement?
It's been nothing but one embarrassment after another. It's almost painful that the reporters who host the online discussions have to say over and over again that they have nothing to do with editorials. I think even they are embarrassed.
