The in-fighting begins over "Mighty Mouse".

Huckabee says voters want consistent candidate, not Mighty Mouse
Associated Press - June 4, 2007 2:15 PM ET

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee said primary voters like those in New Hampshire are looking for consistency - not Mighty Mouse.

Huckabee, trailing in polls and fundraising, told reporters he isn't worried about former Senator Fred Thompson's expected entrance into the Republican field. Thompson, the "Law & Oder" actor, is edging closer to a candidacy that could shake up the GOP field.

Huckabee says there seems to be an expectation that Thompson will be like Mighty Mouse and swoop into the race to save the day. But the former Arkansas governor says that's not what voters are looking for.

Somehow the thought of big old 6"5' Fred Thompson lumbering in "To Save The Day!" amuses me very much.
