The CNN Analysis:

  • Richardson: He's a governor...with lots of experience. Because he said so. Over and over. Making some headway.
  • Biden: A grown-up. Apparently, a second-tier grown-up. And he got angry and emotional about Darfur.
  • Obama: Well-spoken, had some good moments, is quick on his feet, did better than last time
  • Edwards: "Took it to 'em", made a big effort to distinguish the differences between himself and the others.
  • Dodd: Given his 3 minutes of face time in the first hour, not getting much feedback. (Was his name even mentioned?)
  • Kucinich: Peace, love, and Iraq = the Democrats' war.
  • Gravel: The guy at the end of the row who's also pressuring the Democrats to stop the war.
  • Hillary: Presidential. Stayed above the fray because she's the front-runner. The Uniter (where'd we hear that before?). She controlled the debate. The winner.
Oh, and nobody but Hillary, Obama, and Edwards really counts anyway. Well, maybe a dash of Biden and a sprinkle of Richardson.

That's what they think. What did you think? Better yet, take Paddy's poll, below.

Where is everyone tonight? It's quieter than the corporate media on...well, anything not Bush-approved.

On Kos' debate poll: Edwards came in first, Obama second, and Hillary third.

Sorry, gottalaff, I was out and missed the whole thing! Maybe next time....if there is another debate. So many states are pushing their elections up, we may be finished with this thing by next week.

Who cares what CNN thinks? The CNN commentator (I don't remember his name) kept talking about the "left wing" of the Democratic party that is anti-war. And all this time I thought that over 60% of ALL Americans are against the war. Maybe they should watch the news instead of comment on it.

Tom, I couldn't agree more. That was the point. And thanks for saying what a lot of us were thinking.
