Tommy Thompson: Earning Money Is "Part of the Jewish Tradition"

This coming from a man who governed a state with two Jewish US Senators:
"I'm in the private sector and for the first time in my life I'm earning money. You know that's sort of part of the Jewish tradition and I do not find anything wrong with that."
Atrios responds to Thompson's speech to the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism here.

GAWD, I can't wait to hear his "speech" to the knights of columbus, the log cabin crew, the league of women voters, the urban league, and the Rutgers Hoops team.

I keep forgetting that earning $$ is one of our traditions, which is probably why I'm not in the so-called millionaire's club.

And if I were, well, as Groucho Marx would say, "I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would want me as a member".

Tommy! didn't govern this state. Tony Earl governed the state, Jim Doyle governs the state.

Tommy! contracted governance out to the cement contractors.

This is the jackass that would campiagn FOR a new ballpark for the Milwaukee Brewers (to be paid by a tax levied only in southeastern Wisconsin, but had to be ratified statewide) by telling people outside of southeasterm Wisconsin it was there chance to "stick it to 'em" in Milwaukee.

That was popular, but probably not becuase my town is just filled up with Jews and blacks, in their minds, eh?

He's an asshole.
