The Patience of a Saint.
How Gwen Ifill managed to sit there this morning on "Meet The Press" with 3 of Imus' MOST FREQUENT AND WHITEST GUESTS (Brooks, Russert & Harwood) and listen to their TOTALLY CLUELESS BULLSHIT is just stunning.
Only only heard one snort off camera, and she managed to put them in their places time after time.
If you missed it this morning, try and catch it tonite on MSNBC.
That is one classy lady.

I only caught the last 1/2 hour, but I was interested in the fact that I don't recall ever hearing Ifill giving her personal opinions to the extent she did this morning. She won't even give her personal opinions/speculations on her bi-weekly (IIRC) WaPo chat.
It was quite refreshing.
I saw it and the podcast is availabel at MSNBC.com at noon.
What dropped my jaw was Dick on Face The Nation. When is the host going to just stare him in the eyes and call him a liar flat to his face.
He lies constantly and they stare at him continuing to show respect. Respect should be earned.
Ifill came across as a sanctimonious, holier-than-thou ass, constantly interrupting others with inane comments like "shock humor is only OK if *I* think it's funny" and quickly changing the subject when the issue of double standards was raised.
Russert should have nailed her to the wall on her hypocrisy.
and only anonymous would say that...
I find people rarely use their name when spewing support for bigotry.
Ifill's been classy from the start. Thanks for this post - I was wondering why I was getting tons of hits for google searches on Gwen.
Hanging out with friends like Condi Rice isn't classy.
In fact, last time I checked Imus wasn't helping the Decider dismantle American democracy.
Maybe someone should ask Ifill why she's enabling someone busy doing wrong.
