Over at ABCnews.com, reporter Jan Simmonds notes that Giuliani sidestepped the question of whether being gay is "immoral," as Gen. Pace indicated.

In the statement his campaign released to ABC News, Mr. Giuliani chose not to respond to Pace's personal point of view that homosexuality is "immoral." ...

By choosing to keep his comments solely on how a change in policy would effect the war on terror, Giuliani was able to sidestep a subject he will have to handle carefully in the coming weeks and months of the campaign.

Uh, newsflash Jan, but you could ask him whether he agrees with Pace, and keep on him until he actually answers the question, as opposed to being impressed with his "sidestepping." It's called being a reporter. You should try it sometime.

It drives me batty when so-called journalists don't follow up. The most frustrating examples are at the Bush press conferences and interviews.

What's so hard about doing your job???

Giuliani is already squirming around then, huh? This will only get better. Pass the popcorn.
