Alberto Gonzales held an entire press conference about taking responsibility for the problems at the Justice Department. But its not just about accountability (he doesn't want to be accountable either, despite saying he takes responsibility), it's also about competence, or his lack thereof. Whether it was torture memos, FBI failings, or the fired US Attorneys, Alberto Gonzales has proven to be utterly incompetent. And while that's the perfect attribute for being a Bush crony (Harriet Miers, Kenny Boy Lay), it's a lousy trait for the Attorney General. He must go.
