Wow

Even better than I had imagined. I couldn't stay away last night past 2:00 am, so I still wasn't sure what was happening in Montana. It looks like they still haven't decided on that.

After all the calls were made with MoveOn.org, I felt at a loss. It's like handing your child over to the public school system on his first day of kindergarten. You know you did your best, but now it was up to someone else to finish the job.

I feel a little more comfortable with our chances on the recount in Virginia, than I do with the final result in Montana. It looks like that one is going down to the wire.

I also just heard that Bush will be making a speech this afternoon. I'll bet he's going to go on and on about how we all have to work together in a bipartisan way....because that's what he did, right? The hypocracy will be knee deep in the Republican camp today.

Congratulations on all your hard work, Cliff. Yesterday's results proves what you have said all along....if you don't come out swinging, you'll lose. You fought the good fight and won big. Thank you! Now, you can look at your little boy and know that his future may be a little safer now.

Damn it Cliff! I was drinking coffee at work when I saw this.

Now I gotta go home and change.

Thank you to all you guys for doing the many things required to pull this off. I hear the VA Senate lead is too big for cowboy wannabe to overcome. So it looks like we have ourselves a Dem Senate too.

And as for all of your gracious comments. As usual, I am humbled. But we all did it. Give yourselves a round of applause too.

PS Just because we took majorities, I promise not to put the "brass knuckles away." I want 30-40 more seats (all the ones we lost 51-49%) in 2008 in addition to a Dem President. And they had better be progressives.
