Editorial*

What in the world is going on? A silly rich woman (not girl, she's freakin' 25) whines, pouts and "nervous breakdowns" herself out of jail for an arrogant crime and the media (I'm looking at you MSNBC) treats it like Princess Di has come back from the dead.

Aerial helicopter tracking that gives me a sour-stomach flashback to O.J., and Tommy FREAKING Chong doing color commentary? CNN does live coverage of Sec Gates announcing General Pace's resignation, and MSNBC plays video of imbecilic reporters carping that they can't get close enough to see if Hilton is wearing cuffs?

You want news MSNBC? Just a quick glance at my RSS feed shows that the Bush Administration is being accused of "disappearing" 39 men, women and children to "secret prisons." Our "recovering alcoholic" President is photographed enjoying a cold one, near beer or not. (AA does not approve of near beer) ETA is threatening to end the cease fire and start terrorizing Spain. Pakistan, one of our few allies in that part of the world (you know, where some guy named Osama is) is imploding. Our civil rights aren't being eroded, they have disappeared into that black hole of rectitude known as the Bush Administration.

Yet, right at this moment, there are hundreds, if not thousands of reporters from across the world standing outside an L.A. courthouse, waiting to see whether or not Paris is wearing cuffs.

*actually a rant, but editorial sounds classier

Ahhh...I heard the judge threw her back in the slammer...said she'd eat when she gets hungry enough. Too funny! Maybe she's just upset because the orange jump suit makes her skin look sallow? Poor baby.

Seems the Sherrif's actions have pissed the judge off somewhat. Wonder if any bribing was involved? Wonder if a certain Sherrif will be looking for a new job soon?

Gotta Admit... Kieth Olbermann Hit It Spot On When He Mocked The Entire Paris Thing With The Puppet Theatre.. At Least There's Someone At MSNBC That Knows How to Report The Absurd
