They must have had this ready. What a convoluted pile of rubbish.

Pardon Him
By The Editors
We said it in March, when I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby became the only person convicted of any crime in the CIA-leak investigation, and we’ll say it again now that he has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison: President Bush should pardon Libby, and do it now.
You have to read the whole thing to see the twists and turns they take (once again) trying to say "No crime, not covert!!!".
"Fitzgerald wouldn't discuss the covert status during the perjury trial!!"
I'm not even in the neighborhood where lawyers live, and I understand that one.

Ugh.
Oh, and did you see that James Carville (consultant for HRC) has joined his lovely (NOT!) wife in begging for Scoot's freedom and the court's eternal mercy. It's the first letter at:

(via C&L)
It's quite the verbose and drooly kind of tome that you would expect. Wasn't planning on seeing that from Carville, but I always pegged him for a craven hack.
