Besides pointing out the hypocrisy of the goopers, the VA medical crisis is also a chance to talk about medical coverate.
This is a good time to start talkig about universal health insurance. The plan proposed by Senator Ron Wyden d Oregon is really quite good.

The threat to social security is really medical costs. We need to let medicare negotiate on drug prices. The City of San Francisco has a plan authored by Supervisor Tom Ammiano which provides health care for everyone in the City through the existing Department of Public Health. Employers not offiering private insurance pay into the fund.
