Ho hum, normal day. Ya know, Republicans were bored so they tried to eliminate the minimum wage. Completely. For everyone.

Seems that we just got more ammo to shoot at twelve or so Republicans come 08. I say we start loading those guns and letting the good people of those states know how much their senators think of them.

I saw McCain. I also saw that Allard was on the list. The chickenshit that he is decides he's not running in 08 so he doesn't have to face a hostile and increasingly blue Colorado.

Sununu just signed his termination papers with this vote and the countless other bad choices he's made over the 4 years he's been in. It's not as if the guy was elected with a mandate. He had to jam his opponents phone lines in order to win.

Not surprising in the least about the min wage. Republicans number one allegiance has and always will be to Wall Street above all else. It actually irks me when liberals say the problem with the GOP these days is that it's been hijacked by the religious right. I think it's the other way around to be honest. Sure Bush throws them a judge or a marriage amendment here or there. But who stood to benefit from the war? social security privatization? tax cuts? those are the issues he pushed hardest and none were on the top of Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertsons lists.

just my two cents anyhow :)

I have already informed Senator Roberts that he will have to justify this vote with his constituents if he decides to run for the Senate again. That and bowing to pressure not to actually do his job in investigating the Iraq intellegence failure.

Yeah, Allard, what a back-benching little chicken shit. He knows he only won in 2002 with a big assist from 9/11, and now he'd get killed.

I would get in touch with my Senators, but thankfully I am in Maryland and we chose NOT to elect our moronic former Lt. Governor but sent Ben Cardin.

As for Sununu, you're right disnoir, no phone jam, he likely still loses in a huge GOP year. This is going to be fun.

Finally, jambon, I totally agree. The crazies are maybe what put them over the top, but the first allegiance since the days of McKinley has always been the corporate plutocrats. The fundies, who disproportinately are hurt by shit like this, just seem to be too stupid to turn away...but the next few years should be interesting.
