BTW, I noticed when I commented on Hiaasen you responded that you thought he was hilarious. Of course, I agree. And on that note, there is a writer here in Texas that has been called the Texas Hiaasen. His name is Ben Rehder, and he writes about Blanco County. Absolutely HILARIOUS!!!
If you get a chance, check him out. I promise you will NOT stop laughing.
I will definitely check him out. Any books you recommend to start out with?
One of my faves is "Buck Fever." Also, "Bone Dry" is HILARIOUS! But you can't go wrong with any of his Blanco County Mystery books. I've never met him, but he lives just a few miles from me.
And Blanco County is my neighboring county to the West, so I have seen and been to many of the places Rehder talks about in his books.
