Fyi, that's not true, because a lot of us have different, and perfectly reasonable attitudes towards cookies.
I went through it again for you guys because you asked so nicely the other day, but the survey is way too long and obnoxious.

Yep, it is long and annoying, but I think John at Americablog said that only the first few pages really count. My eyes started to glaze over when I got to the beer vs wine questions.
I read blogs because I like to. What more do you need to know about me that would be worth my spending a half hour indicating my liquor preferences, purchasing habits, and income level?

Okay, here's $5, more than you'll make from my viewing ads on this site.
If you want to know, I'm male, 40, computer geek, make more money than I deserve, and block most ads using a hosts file (works great -- google it). I drink single malt scotch and ride an old motor scooter when I can make it run. Engaged, no kids. BA.
I hate ads. I hate the money that goes into convincing people to do things they don't need or want by appealing to their baser needs rather than to their reason. The same people who sell big trucks to guys with size issues sell elections. It's HUGE. Thank you, PT Barnum.
Why should I vote for ____? Why should I buy ____? The answer is too often nothing but slogans and innuendo.
Waah.
