Oliver Willis has an great piece on how John McCain is suddenly calling for a truce when it comes to personal attacks on the candidates' past behavior. Could it be that some of the Swift Boaters are now after him, instead of John Kerry, so it's suddenly a problem?
And um, why did he accept money from those who financed them in 2004, including the main funder behind the project? Or hire their consultants for that matter?
Oh Johnny....

Speaking of campaign hires, Romney hired the former publicist for "Pink Taco" Mexican restaurant to be his state director in Arizona.
Check out the comments at Willis'. The Swift-Boating continues.
thanks Matt...crap I forgot about that for Republican Sexcapades on the Young Turks...next week..
Dave - thanks for the tip. Will check out. And thanks for plugging the blog all the time in the comments over at Duncan's place...believe it or not, we do get a bunch of visitors from that.
I watched a few minutes of McCain's speech yesterday (that's all I could take) and he did his usual job of skirting issues and leaving himself enough room to flip flop later with almost everything he said. The guy just looks dishonest. I wonder how he's gonna feel when he comes in last in the Primary's? Is he going to suddenly become that "maverick" again and try to kiss up to the Dems?
Ugh...that man just sickens me!
Did I hear Sam Seder say McCain is no longer backing the surge this morning? Did McCain come out encouraging a vote to block funding? Is his McCave now complete?
