Nothing major happening out there except everyone shaking their heads at Gee Dubya having a tantrum trying to protect Miers & Rove.
Good luck on that buddy.

Tom Delays new book sounds mean spirited and nasty. On the other hand, the documentary about Delay that there was a big old fuss about is out May 23rd,
The Big Buy - Tom Delay's Stolen Congress

As usual, Glenn Greenwald strips the facts bare and exposes the truth, including what Tony Snow used to say about Executive Privilege.

... shield virtually any communications that take place within the White House compound on the theory that all such talk contributes in some way, shape or form to the continuing success and harmony of an administration. Taken to its logical extreme, that position would make it impossible for citizens to hold a chief executive accountable for anything. He would have a constitutional right to cover up.

Chances are that the courts will hurl such a claim out, but it will take time.

(snip) Most of us want no part of a president who is cynical enough to use the majesty of his office to evade the one thing he is sworn to uphold -- the rule of law.

Why, I would agree with you Tony!!! Bravo!!! Now apply it to THIS President.

Why look, seems like one of the Purged Prosecutors decided to tell his side of the story.

Hmmm, seems to be a timely 3 week "loss" of emails in the document dump from the DOJ. Convenient.

Elderly peace protesters dragged forcibly from a St Pa tricks Day Parade that they had a permit for.

I can't tell you how pissed I am that Bush is getting away with this shit. The dump of documents, with three weeks missing, keeping Rove and Meirs from testifying, because of Bush's so-called love for the Constitution? Ugh...and why in the hell is the MSM so complacent on this stuff? During the Clinton years they couldn't get enough pictures of that red dress and kept playing that soundbyte "I did not have sex with that woman", over and over again. But, Bush and his thugs get away with murder.

You know what they're talking about on MSNBC now? Gore's weight loss. The hell with the outing of a CIA agent, and the hell with Gonzo trampling on our Constitution, it's more important to talk about Al Gore's waistline? Oh...and now we are hearing about Britney Spears...again.

Ok...rant over.

Ok...now the rant is really over.
