Lieberman Supports a Swift-Boater

Yeah, um, good idea letting him have the radio address as a "Democrat." The stupidity of continuing to lay in bed with this cretin knows no bounds.

He is now outwardly supporting the Bush nominee for Ambassador to Belgium, a guy who helped finance the swift-boating of John Kerry in 2004. I know this will shock you the most, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that this very guy who financed swift-boaters, also donated to Alf's dad in his independent bid in CT after his own party kicked him to the curb.

Joe Lieberman was beaming. "Sam Fox represents what America is all about," he said, "and that's why he will be, when confirmed, an extraordinary ambassador."

The scene was last week's Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Connecticut's junior senator was making a highly unusual appearance to lobby for Fox's nomination to be the U.S. ambassador to Belgium.

Fox has come under fire from Democrats because of his role in helping to bankroll the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth in 2004 - the group that many Democrats still hold responsible for John Kerry's narrow loss to President Bush that year.

The day after the 2006 election, Lieberman, elected as an independent, got a $10,500 contribution from Fox and another $10,500 from Fox's wife. Both are generous GOP donors.

Lieberman at this point, is a known Republican. The fact that he's masquerading as a Democrat really doesn't matter. He should just jump ship and be what he actually "is".

It's not like it's a secret you know?

Maybe the article linked below explains the reason for Joe Lieberman's strange behavior.

The Democrats need to work hard to get a Republican to jump ship so we can dump Lieberman. There has to be a Senator that is so fed up with Bush and the Republican party that he will tell them to get bent, especially if they get the promise of a good committee lead. No?
