I think it is about time that the Netroots call out pollsters Mark Penn and Doug Schoen on their work for yet another Republican candidate. This time the candidate is Bruce Lunsford, who ran in the Democratic primary for Governor of Kentucky in 2003, only to drop out and stab the Democratic Party in the back by endorsing then Republican Congressman-now Governor Ernie Fletcher over the Democratic nominee Ben Chandler.

Remember that this is the same Penn and Schoen who worked for Republican Mike Bloomberg in New York. And if this were not enough, Markos takes them to the task for their latest ridiculous claim that their client Hillary Clinton has the same position on the war as Barack Obama and Stoller slams Schoen for backing Fox News!

We’ll have some more soon on Penn and Schoen’s tactics to undermine Democrats in Kentucky as well as some of their other races, but feel free to post any other examples below. If anyone is in the petition-making mood, don’t you think Lunsford should either drop out of the Democratic primary again or decide to hire Democratic consultants for his “Campaign for Change”?
