Ok, I don't want to be mean here, and apologize ahead of time to those of you from The Sunshine State...but seriously, is there anything Florida doesn't suck at?
I mean they can't even kill somebody right? I knew they were already responsible for especially crappy elections, teachers who really "enjoy" their students and Katherine Harris to name just a few things. But taking 34 minutes to execute someone because you screw up the injection? That's impressive, even when a Bush is running things...
PS Before I hear from angry Floridians, that was at least somewhat meant in jest. I enjoy your sunny environs every February as my parents spend some of the winter down there...but you gotta admit, some crazy shit transpires in Florida....

I think it was Ablog for McCain...let me search through the archives and I just think I might do it..Lieberman is due for the same with his all to quick admission that he was lying about wanting to get out of Iraq during the campaign...we may just have a multi-candidate bitchslapping here gottalaff...
As for Putin, well he does act like a Republican Fernando, so he may just make Sexcapades...Interesting thought...

On the execution, I heard some woman this am on Cspan basically saying Fernandos' first post.
"Let em suffer!!!"
"Who cares about their pain!!"
I think cruelty is the point fernando and paddy...I must say I tend to not have the most copassion in the world for murderers. But this was obviously so fucked up that it looks like not only Florida but also California is reconsidering...
When oblivous people are coodled all of their life, they become removed from the reality of suffering. How do we teach empathy and responsibiilty simultaneously anyway? En mass no less?
Compassion and expectations are always at odds, but not with greed. Greed knows no compassion. Greed knows no limits.
That's why Carl Hiaasen is such a great writer. He writes about the insanity of Florida.
34 minutes? For a lethal injection? Wow. Even here in Texas where an execution takes place at least weekly they do it rather quickly.
And Fernando is right. Word is spreading on that Putin kiddie thing. But Dubya looked in his eyes and knew he had a good heart, right? Blah!!!
