Here We Go Again
Over at Bloomberg.com, Kevin Hassett, your typical conservative bozo, tries to continue the meme that Sen. Obama lacks policy heft. The article is entitled "So, Where's the beef in Obama's Big new Ideas?"
I could simply mock Hassett for using a line that was in vogue back when George Michael was a straight sex symbol in Wham!, but I'll just move on to other items.
Most notable, Hassett basically argues that Obama doesn't have any real policy "meat."
"But where's the beef? Over the past couple of weeks, Obama has begun to reveal approaches that only a vegetarian could love."
Get it! Ha, only a vegetarian, cause there's no meat! He kills me.
So Hassett goes on to dismiss Obama's plan as a lightweight recitation of old plans, right? No, of course not. Hassett goes on to dissect Obama's plan, arguing with individual pieces of his plan to reduce carbon emissions, then says the real answer isn't Obama's plan, but a carbon tax.
Look, Hassett may be right that a carbon tax would be more effective than Obama's plan, but that doesn't mean Obama's plan isn't serious, or filled with "meat." Hassett is being (say it with me) intellectually dishonest in accusing Obama of not having real policy proposals. Hassett just disagrees with them. Uh, Kevin, that doesn't make them vegetarian. It just makes them different than your plans. So, whoop, there it is, Kevin.

Broken record reporting. Not an original thought among them.
` The obvious answer is: Kevin's dissection of Obama's plans is something that only vegetarians, idiots, or Repugs could like because there is NO MEAT in his criticism, and that is the way these 2 of these 3 groups like their info: Short, with no backup evidence.
Think global warming, evolution, and voter fraud allegations!!
