Ford to Close Cleveland-Area Plant

Ford Motor Co. said Monday it will close its casting plant in Brook Park, Ohio, near Cleveland in 2009. The plant employs 1,218 hourly and salaried workers.
The company also will shutter Cleveland Engine Plant 1 in Brook Park for at least a year starting in two weeks. It employs 577 workers. A second engine plant at the complex just west of Cleveland will remain open.
1795 jobs lost.

Cleveland is pretty cool, but this sucks.
Say what you will about the Bushies, but they sure are thorough.
By the time Dubya leaves his appointment, this country will be unrecognizable. Damn near there right now.
But our economy is humming! The Dow is up! Unemployment is at 4.5%!
And at least 3 million jobs have been created....at McDonald's.
