Obama Doubles Clinton's Number of Donors

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Barack Obama received over 50,000 online donations for a total of $6.9 million. This figure simply blows away Clinton's $4.2 million raised online. The report goes on to say Obama has now raised money from over 100,000 individuals in one quarter. Amazing.

Overall, Obama received contributions from more than 100,000 individuals, his campaign said. Clinton received donations from about 50,000 people, while Edwards took in money from about 37,000 donors.
