Democrats Set For Another House Pick-Up In Ohio

State Senator and Air Force Reserves Major John Boccieri looks to be gearing up for a 2008 campaign against Rep. Ralph Regula. After cozying up to get campaign contributions from disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, the 83 year-old Ralph Regula only reported raising only a pathetic $1,560 this quarter.

Meanwhile, Major Boccieri participated in a national conference call sponsored by the Democratic National Committee's Veterans and Military Families Council to discuss the war in Iraq this week:
Retired Army Lt. Gen. Robert G. Gard and state Sen. John Boccieri, D-New Middletown, also participated. Boccieri is a major in the Air Force Reserve who has been on four missions to support American forces in Iraq and Afghanistan...

Boccieri said that troops are being asked to serve longer tours of duty in Iraq with equipment that is "broken and falling apart." He said that among Ohio National Guard troops with whom he has spoken, there is "an overall sense of fatigue and being tired."
I have a feeling Regula's seat won't be in the only one that Democrats will be picking up in Ohio this year...

Thanks ladies. I was actually just hearing about this guy the other day. They are recruiting some excellent candidates here. And there are anywhere from 4-7 vulnerable Republicans depending upon who we recruit.

Giddy up!

Chabot is a doddering old fool. He had possibly the worst political ad I've ever seen in the last run against Cranley. Only in a heavily red district like his would he have had a prayer.

Of course all the free advertising from WLW doesn't help.

I mean, it doesn't hurt. Doesn't hurt Chabot.

Geez, who's the doddering old fool now.
