David Brooks is such a self-righteous reach-around I don't know where to begin.

Shorter Brooks: There is something wrong with "liberal Democrats" (oh no, you half-gestated, right-wing character from a Woody Allen movie, please don't call me that! Anything but that!) because he is an idiot, has been wrong about everything in Iraq and we think he should, you know, admit that he's been a fuckin moron.

Our bad.

Yes it was his usual "carry the water" column. But then again, there are still people who are blind to everything and refuse to read or learn.

Which is why our country is totally THE BEST - it goes to show that idiots are also welcome in this great country....and even morons can express an opinion.

Look at Bush!

Just because he was hired to write in the New York Times, doesn't mean you have to read what he writes.

Steve, what you say is true, however that is how our country got into this not paying attention to both sides.

All of us have a responsibility to keep an eye on our politicians (both sides). Frequently good things come from both the Dems and Reps when they actually stop being political thugs and hacks.

But simply ignoring what is said by opponents is not a very responsible thing if you do care deeply about political agendas.

This rebuke of Bush is just the beginning. Our troops need to come home now. The Shiites and Sunnis have been fighting for over 1000 years - nothing is going to change.

It's about time the Senate and Congress actually used those cojones they pretend to have.

I would like to just ask all of you guys...IF you liked the speech your representative gave on the Floor of the House, take a moment to send them an email or give their office a call.

Regardless, some of them did figuratively go out on a limb.

Let's support them when they speak for what we believe.
