Apparently there is a relationship between the level of one's psychosis and his/her support for President Bush (hint: it's not inverse).

I know, try to act surprised.

In fact, this isn't just speculation or hyperbole (not that there's anything wrong with that), but an actual psychological study conducted in Connecticut (wonder if they tested Lieberman voters?).

Money quote: "Lohse, a social work master’s student at Southern Connecticut State University, says he has proven what many progressives have probably suspected for years: a direct link between mental illness and support for President Bush."

In any case, Tom Tomorrow has the goods. Go check it out.

I am surprised. When did people start publishing studies again? And when did they let studies come out that don't support the administrations illusion of reality?

What next? FOX calling Iraq a civil war?

That may explain a few things. There are times when I can talk to someone who seems perfectly normal in many ways...until they start talking politics. It always amazed me how little Bush supporters really understood government structure, current events and science. In every other aspect, they seemed like nice people.

I've recently found myself not talking about politics to the average person or neighbor. It's just too depressing to see how many nut jobs are living in my neighborhood. Makes me want to lock my doors and stay in....but then, that would make me a nut job and I fear I might start supporting Lieberman or something. Scary thought...no, terrifying!

Cliff, the next time you are on tv with Brad, you should bring this up. I think mental illness is the only good explanation the Right Wing politicians and their water carriers may have for their desperate desire to see America go down the toilet. The Republican government squandered years and years of opportunity to make lives better for people in this country and they proved unwilling and/or unable. Now that US citizens have kicked them out, the Republicans are scared to death that the government may actually achieve something positive for the taxpayers and voters. Democrats haven't even taken office yet, and all the Brads in the media are hyperventilating about how badly they've failed the people.

You are probably right paddy. How about this - FOX cheering Iraq civil war?

They love watching brown's fight amoungst themselves. Hell, that makes the job half as hard right!

Anyone hear read that piece about Bush's asinine remark to Webb about his son? Bush has no morals, that's worse to me, IMO, than no brains.

The sad reality is that Bush has mucked up so much in the middle east that we are in worse shape, security-wise than ever. How does anyone fix this disaster? Just like in the past, Jr. destroys everything in his path and then someone else is supposed to clean up his messes. Unfortunately, this mess has destroyed more families with the loss of their loved ones, than anyone could have imagined.

Ok...sorry, I went on a tangent. Every time I read something that Jr. says, I just lose my temper.

Heh, looks to me like Cliff needs to start a chat room for his fans.

Anna did good today with Scarborough trying to deflect Pat & Monicas blathering about how Pelosi was "floundering".

When you getting back on the air Cliff?
We need you!!!

I'm working on a big ole letter to Abrams about the BS going on over there. Trying hard not to foam at the mouth.

Fernando-
I am convinced that there really is an entrenched segment of the R's that do enjoy watching brown people being destroyed, no matter by whom.
Did you see the post by Glenn Greenwald about Jose Padilla? (www.gleengreenwald.blogspot.com)
Included in his rant about the way he was held, he shows two different copies of the same pic. The one that makes him look darker skinned is the one used most in the media.

Mary Ellen-
If I wasn't overloaded having a crush on Keith O, Webb would be next on my crush list.
(Cliff is eliminated 'cause our friendship is"platonic in a non-Haggard, Sherwood, Gibbons platonic kinda way...") which pretty much excludes EVERYTHING.

I will be back on MSNBC soon. Just been tending to my favorite little boy and working on a few things-- that I will make public as soon as possible--which are taking mucho time.

But if you miss me on air, I will be back on The Young Turks on Air America tomorrow morning at 8AM EST

And S/R, don't worry, I will be bringing up this study the next time I'm on air...

Paddy

What???? We're allowed to have crushes on this blog? Finally, something to look forward to!

I agree, we need a chat room...I'm tired of going on the French blogs or chat rooms, sometimes they're ok..but there are a few Frenchies that I'd like to drop kick from here to Timbuktu. The only good thing is, most of them are liberals and none of them like Bush.
